Source: CSIA Just announced! We are taking pre-registration for the Advanced Fireplace Building class! Learn to repair existing fireboxes and smoke chambers. Most of the class time will be spent building a firebox and smoke chamber, laying out and building a brick face with an arched opening, and a hearth extension. The build will include the PriorFire. 3 fires in six hours prompt safety warning from Canadian town Source: Battlefords Now The North Battleford Fire Department in Saskatchewan responded to three separate fires in a six-hour span recently, prompting a reminder from the city's fire chief about simple precautions that can prevent serious damage. Read More Man gets stuck in chimney while trying to get his dog out of a locked building Source: Valley News Live Firefighters had to rescue a man who got stuck in the chimney of a Connecticut parks building while trying to retrieve his dog from a bathroom when the doors automatically locked for the night. Police were called to Rockwell Park in Bristol for a burglary complaint and were told by parks employees that someone was in the chimney. Firefighters responded to the scene and got the man out after having to remove parts of the chimney and building, causing $5,000 to $10,000 worth of damage, police said.
