The Chimney Safety Institute of America has partnered with Personnel Decisions Research Institutes, Inc. (PDRI) to improve the certification process for CSIA’s Certified Chimney Sweep credential, CSIA’s Dryer Exhaust Technician credential, and a new credential up for consideration based on popular demand — Stainless Steel Technician.

An email has been sent to a combined 1,500 industry pros asking them to participate in an online survey that asks them to rate the importance of work activities that make up each job’s duties. Then, it asks you to rate the importance of knowledge requirements for effective job performance.

This survey is a very important step in the certification exam development process, and we need your input by Monday, January 26. [You can disregard this request if you’ve already filled out either of the surveys as part of an email you received; thanks for doing that and we appreciate you!]
