CSIA® Masonry School

​Description: The Chimney Safety Institute of America's Masonry School offers a comprehensive 5-day training program for professionals in chimney and venting system masonry work. This course combines morning classroom theory with hands-on projects, covering skills such as bricklaying, chimney construction, and repair techniques. Designed to provide basic knowledge and practical skills, the class includes ample one-on-one time with instructors with 35+ years of masterful experience. Graduates are equipped to perform high-quality, safe, and efficient masonry work, enhancing their career opportunities and professional credibility. ​
CEUs: 12 - T, 2 - C&S, 4 - H&S (16 CEUs Total)
Required Materials: 
      Safety Materials:
  • long pants, closed-toe shoes, gloves, eye protection, dust musk, ear protection
If driving to the course, please bring the following masonry tools. If you are flying, there are masonry tools available to borrow. Please just be sure to clean them well when finished!
     Masonry Materials:
  • brick trowel 10"-11"
  • 2' and 4' levels
  • pointing trowels
  • concave jointer
  • duster brush
  • brick hammer
  • brick spacing rule
